Research in the Exumas
THE BAHAMAS (08/05/08) --

Earlier this year, Atlantic Boat and Marine's Service Manager Andy McLean spent several weeks in the Exumas. He was there helping friend and fellow diver Catherine Booker collect research data for her master's thesis.

The Exumas are a collection of 365 cays and islands stretching over 120 miles, and are a district of the Bahamas. The islands are a popular spot for yachting, sailing, diving, and coral reef and cave exploring. Many of the unnamed beaches and coves of the islands, including extensive offshore reef areas, are included in the protected Exuma National Land and Sea Park of the Bahamas National Trust.

Andy and Catherine brought back some stunning photographs of the area both above and below the surface. You can view these, along with other great photographs, in the Atlantic Boat and Marine Favorites photo album.
